Cozumel, the West Side
I'm back! The grey winter is over and I'm back with photos to share! Last week we went on a quick trip to Cozumel. Steu really wanted to scuba dive and I wanted to be in warm air, so we escaped between Noreasters a went south.
For the 5 days we were there, we followed a very predictable schedule. Steu would get up and go diving, I'd sleep in then sit in the shade by the water reading. He'd come back around 1pm and then we'd venture into town for tacos. I had authentic tacos purchased at tiny mom and pop restaurants for all but one of my non-breakfast meals. I had every type of taco imaginable (a chorizo one was my favorite) and washed each of them down with an ice cold Fanta.
"Downtown" Cozumel was either a 20 minute walk or 5 minute bike ride from where we were staying. It reminded me of Key West a little bit, was pretty compact, and was incredibly brightly colored. I like living in Boston, but sometimes the rows of brick town houses get a bit repetitive. What if in the north east, we were as festive with our house colors and art as they are down there?
