A few weekends ago, I visited Charleston, SC for the first time to celebrate a friend from college's upcoming wedding. It was one of those perfect weekends where there were just enough activities to feel full, but not so much going on that we felt rushed or tired at the end of the weekend.
Out first day we wandered around and had a delicious and definitely not healthy mid-afternoon snack: Tot-chos... tater-tot nachos.
Saturday morning we went to the beach for a private yoga class, probably one of the best bachelorette activities I've experienced. It was a great way to get us all up and out of our rental early and get a little activity in at the same time. Plus, we were able to beat the crowds to the beach!
After a delicious brunch Sunday and all but two of us had flown home, a buddy and I wandered through the neighborhoods hoping that we'd get in enough of a walk before it started to pour. Fortunately, we saw a number of gorgeous homes and never got caught in a downpour, although it looked as if the skies would open up at any moment.
So often with weekends away I come home feeling like I need to recuperate, but this weekend in Charleston really hit the mark. There was BBQ, dancing, run-ins with reality "stars", beach time, and a solid 8 hours of sleep each night! My kind of weekend... :)
